He was one of the top pitchers in the league just a couple years ago, and last year was not his best due to injuries, like getting hit in the face by a ball off the bat of pujols. he just never had the chance to get in a groove last year. he should at least be mid 80's as i think we will all see by his work this next season.Jeremynoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4919554729805931143.post-61534636549550738352010-03-14T11:01:11.139-04:002010-03-14T11:01:11.139-04:00This is great BUT!!!! Against the toughest pitchers in the NL he had put up some wicked numbers. Not sure if that is something that played into the ratings either. I know they wanted to incorporate a lot of "behind the scenes" stats into the game this year. It may have been a factor.<br />That and Braun is younger, and most people believe he has not yet peaked. The game may factor in expected development/regression of players to a certain degree.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4919554729805931143.post-33581939983034454602010-03-01T19:09:55.342-05:002010-03-01T19:09:55.342-05:00Rashidi. Lidge is coming off a total nightmare season, and the fact that he is still rated 74 is giving him the benefit of the doubt. 99% of middle relievers are rated lower than that. Mornaeu's average dropped 30 points last season though he boosted his walk rate and power to compensate. However, with an 878 OPS (873 in 2008) he is hardly an elite 1B option, merely a good one.Rashidihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15415749685735306421noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4919554729805931143.post-32655777247552276842010-03-01T17:38:31.970-05:002010-03-01T17:38:31.970-05:00Also, Howard may have improved on defense but that...Also, Howard may have improved on defense but that was merely a leap from terrible to bad.
