Rashidi's NBA 2K11 Player Ratings

NOTE: These are NOT the official ratings for NBA 2K11. These are my NBA 2K10 ratings in my 2K11 roster file, which were compiled using multiple sources including the Synergy Sports Technology service. The majority of these ratings should transfer seamlessly over to the real NBA 2K11 when the game drops next month.

1. Great. Thanks man. Have you seen any news on NBA 2K11? They are added a few new categories to ratings that make things more realistic. I don't remember them off the top but I'll try to find the info.

ReplyDelete
2. Well, I forgot where I saw it, but there are a few new attributes for each player. Either way, shouldn't be a huge difference once the game comes out.

3. One small thing: you have Dajuan Summers listed as a PF/C. He definitely played more SF last year with a tiny bit of PF.

4. To continue the last thread...

Jordan's ratings do seem a bit more based on nostalgia than fact.

Jordan will undoubtedly he a beast at dunking in the 90s despite losing hops and becoming a more complete player.

Jordan will be overrated in places of corse, but the bigger problem will be every player on each team from 3 down. Paxson and Kerr will have 95-99 3 point ratings for sure, yet Bird will have a 80 3pt rating. etc etc.

I'd love for you to go over the legends teams in 2k10 and just fix things like Wilt 5060's stamina (should be 99), Bird's 3pt and shot in traffic ratings, Olajuwon's block, post, rebound ratings... Bill Walton's rating PERIOD (he's one of the lowest rated legends and would be backing up Shaq this year based on this game.

Plus the created Barkley 90s you added in in the low-mis 90s.

Etc Etc. I went through the legends teams and edited the ratings to the best of my ability based on basketball-reference and compared to ratings you have other players at with the same/similar stats (ie, if a player had a 45% 3pt I made it the same then added or deduced points based on how often each player would be open).

Going over the legends wouldn't be a lost cause because a good chunk are either confirmed for the Jordan challenge or are no doubt back for the all-decade teams again this year.

6. Ugh, 82games strikes again w/ Summers. I was pretty tired when I looked at the data.

http://www.82games.com/0910/09DET11.HTM#5man

They have him as PF/C but it's clear from looking at the lineups closely he should be SF/PF. They have Maxiell and Villanueva at SF in Summers lineups. This is why I've used 82games less and less with each passing season.

Moving Summers to SF and I'll also move Wilcox back to PF with this change.

7. I hope that you will post full ratings for every player...

8. Thanks Rashidi! This is truly awesome. Looking forward to getting the Bucks to challenge in the East!

9. Linas Kleiza is the best player on this years Raptors roster - no doubts about it - unfortunately your rating didn't show that!! :(

ReplyDelete
10. Actually that just reminded me, I need to move Bogut to the IR because he probably won't be healthy until December.

ReplyDelete
11. It takes more than FIBA performance to convince me.

Kleiza's a good scorer no doubt, but he's not much of a defender, rebounder, passer...

ReplyDelete
12. Re Bogut: the most recent injury reports have been suggesting that he may be good to go for training camp. He is back in Milwaukee now, working through his rehab and consulting with team doctors about his progress.

I think it is too early to assume either way whether he will be back for the start of the season, or whether it won't be in December. Given his capacity to recover quicker than expected from other injuries, I wouldn't place him on the IR list just yet. But hey, it's your roster, so I guess it is really your choice ;)

13. hey man when I downloaded your new roster Etan Thomas is still rated a 60, can u re-upload please

ReplyDelete
14. That's because Etan Thomas IS a 60.

15. Aw crap. LOL. Looks like I didn't save my changes to Etan. So I need to edit AND re-upload.

16. All the Overalls of the player look perfect(not that I should be telling you that) What jumps out at me is Ron Artest. I cannot believe 2K had him at an 80. In my association he was scoring over 20 ppg! By far the best looking roster ratings I have seen, too bad I do not have a 360. I will be tweaking 2Ks roster to try match yours. Someone please rate his rosters for me! Clearly should be top rated.

Thanks,
Kevin

17. Why is Odom rated higher than Ray Allen?

18. Just a little side note when i was playing with the wiz and had auto subs on and suddenly Hilton armstrong was subbed in at SF. and secondly Sean Marks has a 3-year deal when i was starting an Association. I don't think that the WIz are planning to give him a contract for 3 years. Besides that minor issues this Rosters are just Awesome!!! Thumbs up!

ReplyDelete
19. Ugh, I hate everytime I add a player you have to fix the contract because 2K automatically gives them 3 year deals.

They should have whatever contract that they had when they were in the free agent pool.

ReplyDelete
20. this is no biggie but you have just 1 missing player in your roster, PG Donald Sloan on the Kings. i believe he has a 1 year, guaranteed deal.

ReplyDelete
21. Great. Thanks man. the ratings were rathar useful to me... However i have some doubts about how u rate certain teams and players
1) Top 3 players
How can u rate kobe at 91 only with wade and lebron 3 and 4 ratings higher than him. imo the difference between tis 3 players is only at MOST 2.D howard better than kobe by 1? Nah ask any gm in the nba who they will take, all of them will take kobe anytime. kobe's game still there... dont really agree with u here.
2)Power forward rankings
Boozer and bosh higher than gasol. i dont really see that happening. toronto has no good scorers nor rebounders. tats why the pumped up stats. i will take boozer at 86 gasol at 85 and bosh at 84...
3)Miami Heat
Like what i said previous, wade james and bosh ratings need to scale down to fit the rest.
Mario Chalmers and Carlos Arroyo: .Come on Man! They arent even starters....totally dont deserve to be 70 especially when fisher and blake are in the 60s. (ought to be low 70s)
4)Celtics
KG(he still got gas left in his tank :))

27. How can u rate kobe at 91 only with wade and lebron 3 and 4 ratings higher than him. imo the difference between tis 3 players is only at MOST 2.D howard better than kobe by 1?

Kobe is 32 years old and declining.

PER
LeBron: 31.1 (lead league)
Wade: 28.0 (2nd in league)
Howard: 24.0 (6th in league)
Kobe: 21.9 (13th in league)

TS%
Howard: .630 (2nd in league)
LeBron: .604 (12th in league)
Wade: .562
Kobe: .545 (lowest mark since .544 as rookie)

None of this tells me he should be higher. He was far from the best individual player in the league.

Nah ask any gm in the nba who they will take, all of them will take kobe anytime. kobe's game still there...

I highly doubt this.

2)Power forward rankings
Boozer and bosh higher than gasol
i dont really see that happening. toronto has no good scorers nor rebounders. tats why the pumped up stats.

This would make sense if Bosh weren't extremely efficient at his scoring. According to Synergy he actually rated higher as a post-up player than Gasol despite not having Kobe Bryant taking attention away from him. He was also a better pick & roller, better isolater, better on offensive rebounds, and better spot-up shooter.

Synergy also showed he was a better defender than Gasol, despite having significantly weaker defensive teammates around him.

28. Like what i said previous, wade james and bosh ratings need to scale down to fit the rest.
Mario Chalmers and Carlos Arroyo: .Come on Man! They arent even starters....

Neither are Fisher or Blake. The average starter is 77 rating so Chalmers and Arroyo are clearly not starters either. Fisher in particular was a terrible offensive player last season.

Allen(75 same as delonte west? no way dude...)

Delonte West is an excellent defender. Ray Allen is not.

Shaq(he needs to be in low 80)how can he be worse than a greg oden?

Oden: The 2nd best rebounder in the league after Dwight Howard, and twice the shot blocker Shaq is.
Shaq: Good scorer but poor defensive player, as can be expected of any 38 year old 300+ pounder.

Dun forgot tis was the team which decimated lebron and his gang...

Which is why they are tied with the Lakers for 2nd highest rating in the game.

5)peja stojakovic.. NO WAY.....

Very specific.

Melo at 84 with durant at 89 is a bit off.

Not when you take into account how abominable Melo is at defense and how good Durant is.

Wall was no 1 in rookie ladder of summer league. how can he be 5 rating worse than a evan turner who screwed up the summer league totally. imo on his way to being a draft bust :(

We're supposed to discount NCAA accomplishments based on... SUMMER LEAGUE? Turner was out of shape, who cares.

Lakers and Heat players
Derrick caracter at 64 too high imo. should be 60 to 61
Walton should be 63
Joel anthony should increase till low 70s and dexter pittman should at least get 64.

These are all nitpicks w/o any rationalizations.

29. Tony Parker behind Stephen Curry, Darren Collison and Jennings ?

Parker had a very poor season, his worst since 2004 (i.e. his pre-all-star level).

Jason Kidd behind Jameer Nelson ?

Kidd can't score. At all.

Louis Williams better than Mo Williams ? Really ?

Both players are crap defenders that can only score. In Mo's case, he is simply a worse defender than Lou, who at least gets steals.

Bibby the 40th PG ?

Bibby was terrible last year, his offensive game evaporated and he only takes threes now, never was a great passer, plus he's a weak defender.

30. I love how people base a player's performance because of summer league games. I've seen players fill up the stat sheet in a summer league game only to be scrubs during the regular season.

31. Your ratings kick ass as usual, Rashidi. I've gotta a few questions for you, though:

What did your information show you that dropped George Hill's rating to a 68? I believe his passing, defense and rebounding regressed last season, so are those the areas that hurt him?

Why is Darren Collision rated so high? He played extremely well during Paul's absence, but does that marginal sample size equate to him being the 5th (tied) best PG in the NBA?

Is Garnett really the 2nd best Celtic?

33. What did your information show you that dropped George Hill's rating to a 68? I believe his passing, defense and rebounding regressed last season, so are those the areas that hurt him?

I believe Hill rates 72 as a SG, which is usually where he thrives. He isn't a great traditional point guard since he's a shoot first player. And as you stated, his defense was a bit lacking this year.

Why is Darren Collision rated so high? He played extremely well during Paul's absence, but does that marginal sample size equate to him being the 5th (tied) best PG in the NBA?

I dunno if I'd call Collison's sample marginal as he played 2109 minutes and started 37 games.

He averaged 18.8 ppg and 9.1 apg (40 mpg) in those 37 starts so he certainly produced at an all-star level. By comparison, Derrick Rose averaged 20.8 ppg but only 6.0 apg

Is Garnett really the 2nd best Celtic?

Of course. He's still the anchor of the defense and second best scorer on the team. Should be noted he lead the team in PER.

Regular season
19.4 Garnett
19.1 Rondo
18.2 Pierce
15.2 Allen
15.0 Perkins

Playoffs
17.8 Rondo
17.6 Garnett
15.8 Pierce
13.1 Allen
9.5 Perkins

36. Why is Mike Miller rated so low??...he was one of the top FA

ReplyDelete
37. You guys are forgetting ratings are based on a lot things, none of which is 'Killer Instinct' or 'Basketball IQ'. Kobe might be someone you'd want on your team against LeBron, but in videogame land he suffers slightly because of his age and the miles on him. Quit with the blinding love for someone who's on the downside of his career.

Also, players are rated based on position. Player A as a SG might have a higher rating than Player B at C, but it's all based on position.

ReplyDelete
38. evan turner at 80? really?

ReplyDelete
39. I agree with the Mike Miller comment. The guy was a coveted free agent who has won ROY and SMOY. He is definetly better than JAMES HARDEN whos rated 11 points over him. He was left to be a #2 or #1 option last year, so of course the guy pulled a Hedo. Thing is his efficency didnt suffer. I see absolutely no reason as to why he is rated so low. Enlight me.

Oh and BTW get the facts right!
Jickson will start at PF for the Cavs. Jamison will come off the bench. Those are the words of Byron Scott.

Beasley will start at SF for the 'Wolves. Wes will slide to SG and Corey Brewer will (finally) go to the bench.

Based on Pat's most recent comments he clearly expects LeBron to be the oppening night PG. Moving Miller into the Lineup....This is not for sure, but that is something they did for 2k11 (albeit with wade at the Point)

Wilson Chandler will start at SG ftm and the lineup shifts up...leaving Amar'e at C and Turiaf at the Bench.

Almost all of ur rotations are impossible....some times you fill the log with more than 96 mins between the two Power Positions. It then becomes imposible for them all to play their minutes and you end up with crap like Haslem subbing in at SF.

ReplyDelete
40. Never seen Haslem sub in at the 3...

Anyway... These ratings are based on last year's performances. When proven otherwise Rashidi will change them. You can't get any more accurate than what Rashidi did to get these ratings. Miller had an off year, his rating will rise as his production does, which it surely will.

The rookie ratings are tricky, naturally, as there is nothing but their college performances and hearsay from camp to base them off of. Summer League can be a good example of what they'll become but many bad players perform well and many good players perform poorly. The only thing to really get out of Summer League is a player's range, speed and handles. Joey Dorsey led Summer League in rebounds but he's a borderline guy at best until he shows otherwise, for example.

These ratings are not based on favoritism, guys. It's not like they've been adjusted based on what the creator feels about certain players. It's purely based on how the player plays based on statistics, game footage, etc.

And don't forget a good SG is one rating and a good PG, PF or C is something different. 2K changed the ratings so ratings for each position is different. An 80 is not an 80 is not an 80 anymore. An 80 at PF is fantastic but SG might be above average, etc etc.

Plus, it's still the preseason, let's wait until the season starts before you asks for someone to get their rating upped if they had a bad season this past year.

ReplyDelete
41. Stats dont show u everything. wade and lebron might be better in terms of overall skills if u take in rebounding blocking ... but talking about shooting guards, kobe is in a league of his own.

What makes him in a league of his own? Wade took over games more often than Kobe did this year. Swap Kobe for Wade and the Lakers still win the championship and the Heat still get easily knocked out in round 1.

ReplyDelete
42. Why is Mike Miller rated so low??...he was one of the top FA

Miller rates 71 at SF which is a little higher. He wasn't one of the top FA, he signed a deal worth the mid-level (actually a little less IIRC) which is what 71 tiered players are basically worth.

Ultimately I left him at SG because he'll see the majority of his PT there this season since LeBron is going to suck up about 80% of the team's SF minutes (while Wade is the one that will get extra PG mins to get Miller on the court more).

ReplyDelete
43. He is definetly better than JAMES HARDEN whos rated 11 points over him.

Harden: A good defender
Miller: Not

He was left to be a #2 or #1 option last year, so of course the guy pulled a Hedo.

Huh? That's not true at all. Miller was highly efficient last season BECAUSE he was content being a spot-up guy all season long instead of taking a more dominant offensive role. According to Synergy, he was the 3rd best spotup shooter in the league behind Korver and Stephen Curry, which obviously has a greater amount of value than what is conveyed in overall rating.

Oh and BTW get the facts right!
Jickson will start at PF for the Cavs. Jamison will come off the bench. Those are the words of Byron Scott.

I read that Jamison MIGHT come off the bench (it is hardly set in stone). Hickson and Jamison both started last year while Shaq was out, and and given how weak Cleveland's offense is (as well as a desire to maximize Jamison's trade value), Jamison might NEED to start. Varejao didn't start last year, even when Shaq was hurt, and seems to play well as sixth man (doesn't have to worry about foul trouble as much).

Beasley will start at SF for the 'Wolves. Wes will slide to SG and Corey Brewer will (finally) go to the bench.

I was going to make this change but forgot, it'll be in next update.

Based on Pat's most recent comments he clearly expects LeBron to be the oppening night PG.

That's the first I've heard of it, as rotoworld (the top source of fantasy information) has yet to report anything of the sort. Only way I see that happening is if Chalmers isn't healthy by opening night (which is a possibility).

Wilson Chandler will start at SG ftm and the lineup shifts up...leaving Amar'e at C and Turiaf at the Bench.

1. The reports have been Gallinari @ SG and Randolph @ SF as Knicks go big. This makes sense to me since Randolph has a similar build to Jared Jeffries and D'Antoni likely envisions him filling a similar defensive role, while Randolph is also a far superior rebounder than Chandler or Jeffries (or even Ronny Turiaf, for that matter).

2. One of Amare's conditions of signing was that he would be playing his natural PF, not C.

49. After a much needed edit break, I started working on the 96 Bulls.

I downloaded Imperial's roster (the top rated one) but was ultimately disappointed with his ratings.

Example:

Steve Kerr
90 Inside
90 Close
85 Med
95 3pt
85 Layup
90 Speed

Obviously these were extremely basic and will require a great deal of work.

Imperial's Ratings
99 Michael Jordan (SG)
91 Scottie Pippen (SF)
80 Dennis Rodman (PF/SF)
78 Toni Kukoc (SF/PF)
77 Ron Harper (PG/SG)
77 Luc Longley (C)
76 Steve Kerr (PG/SG)
76 John Salley (PF/C)
74 Jud Buechler (SG/SF)
74 Bill Wennington (C)
73 Randy Brown (PG)
72 Jason Caffey (PF)
72 Dickey Simpkins (PF/C)
69 Jack Haley (PF)
59 James Edwards (C/PF)

Obviously just about every single one of these is overrated when I have the average starter at 75-77 and 2K has them at 73-75.

ReplyDelete
50. More amazing Kerr ratings
85 Shoot Off Dribble
85 Shoot In Traffic

Come on. Am I really the only roster editor that takes this stuff seriously?

ReplyDelete
51. Rashidi's 96 Bulls
95 - Michael Jordan (SG/SF)
68 - Ron Harper (PG/SG) (72 @ SG)
63 - Steve Kerr (PG) (67 @ SG)
61 - Randy Brown (PG) (63 @ SG)

As usual, the triangle offense doesn't require passing PGs, and that's what PG overall is driven by in 2K (i.e. why those PGs might appear a bit low).

Those are still pretty tenative as I continue to watch 96 Bulls game tape. Hopefully I can finish this team by Wednesday.

Bill Wennington
74 Overall
70 3pt
85 Layup
75 Shoot Off Dribble
85 Handle
85 Off-Hand
75 Ball Security
70 Pass
65 Block
80 Hands
65 Ball Defense
35 PostOff
85 Speed
90 Quickness
75 Vertical

How Imperial got the highest rated file on 2K Share is beyond me. Who cares if you've got 10 Bulls teams if they play so unrealistically?

even if you discount a horrible summer league (sorry but all of the rookies were somewhat rusty after not playing actual games for months so quit using that excuse for him) and only look at college how the hell is he a 80 out the box? As good as Pierce? LMAO.

ReplyDelete
57. still trying to figure out how evan turner, a rookie is rated 80?

What's Tyreke's rating? Evan averages only 15-16 ppg in association as currently rated. He is an excellent all-around player, not just a scorer. Good rebounder, passer, ball handler, defender... is he supposed to have a bad rating? He's likely just as good as 33 year old Pierce in those areas, if not better.

ReplyDelete
58. How do u have Darren Collison the same rating as Derrick Rose And Tyreke Evans?????

Check out the numbers Collison put up as a starter. He's the real deal.

Collison
18.8 ppg
3.5 rpg
9.1 apg
40.1 mpg
.485 FG%
.429 3PT%
.852 FT%

Rose and Evans don't even come close in assists. They might be better scorers (with limited range on their jumpers), but in terms of pure PG, Collison is the definition of that.

ReplyDelete
59. why is kevin martin ranked lower than harden, salmons, and vince

1. Martin did not have a good year.
2. Martin is a below average defensive player.
3. Harden and Salmons are good defensive players. Vince is better at various things (PASSING, for starters) than Martin.

I expect a rebound season from him but it's not exactly a given as Houston is a very uncertain team right now due to the Yao situation.

ReplyDelete
60. Nice changes on the 95-96 Bulls ratings, but why the wack Jordan CAP? You have the one that looks most like him on your 80's and 90's east all-star teams, so why not use it? Also, why no Phil Jackson as their coach? I'd rather have your ratings than Imperial's, but it really robs me of the immersion when it's generic bald mustachioed black dude on the court w/Vinny D pacing the sideline. Please don't lump me in with the headband/sleeve crowd, these are major details that very much block the nostalgia that is the goal of creating classic teams.

Notice how Mike brown was fired the moment lbj went free agent cos only mike brown let lechoke do wadever he wants. Now that lebron has become a jerk in fans' eyes, NBA association will tell the perosn guarding lebron to not give him free shots or let lbj get past them. 69. "Can anyone tell me the major difference between Tyreke Evans and Evan Turner?"

Speed, quickness, handle, creativity, and huge hands. (Tyreke)
vs.
Intelligence, ball smarts, defense and team sense -- but relatively small hands (Turner)

Both rebound well for their size. Both can play as a big guard though it's less of a natural fit for Turner. He is unselfish and passes well though.

Turner will have some difficulty trying to pull off his pet spin move, has a tendency to lose the ball when he tries it in traffic.

Scouts will suss that out pretty quick. He projects to struggle to adjust.

By contrast Ty Evans has no particular move pet, he's improvising every time down the court. Less of a team game, he racks assists, when he does, mostly because he has the ball in his hands all the time.

By contrast Turner is the smarter team player, knew how to use the players he had on his squad. Some part of that though was a function of experience and familiarity, he's an upperclassman, not a raw pure talent. The experience and nascent smarts make Turner the better defender. Makes sense since as a freshman he was a defensive specialist role player.

I do think you have him overrated at 5 spots better than John Wall for instance. Those little squirrel paws are gonna cause him some trouble.

72. ay ay ay, I agree with nearly all of your ratings BUT your justification for a lot of these is incredibly flawed, especially the Collison vs. Rose ratings. Collison put up those numbers in limited time last season... Rose did his for a full season AND is better rounded in nearly every aspect. I don't even like Derrick Rose, in fact, I rather dislike him but come on man...

ReplyDelete
73. Collison's ratings are based on his entire season, not just his starts.

Rose's name is bigger than his game at the moment. Collison? Vice versa.

ReplyDelete
74. Also, if a player can't shoot threes or force turnovers, I wouldn't exactly call them "well-rounded"...

(Collison is the more well-rounded player, which is how he can have the same overall rating as a 20 ppg scorer.)

ReplyDelete
75. Rashidi can u answer why KD isnt 90-94 being the NBA scoring leader and y melo is only 84

There's more to basketball than scoring.

Would you rather have 30/8/3 or 30/7/9?

ReplyDelete
76. Now ask the same question with 28/7/3 and crap defense.

ReplyDelete
77. Rose is unquestionably the more well rounded player. Offensively the only area where Collison is better is the long ball. Rose has quite the formidable mid-range game, he gets into the lane with absolute ease (arguably better than anybody in the league), he's a tremendous passer. Defensively Rose is superior if for nothing else his size. Steals are a horrible representation of defense so I really hope your defensive ratings are not partially attributed to statistics such as steals.

Rose > Collison

ReplyDelete
78. Offensively the only area where Collison is better is the long ball.

Which is pretty darn significant for a point guard.

Rose has quite the formidable mid-range game, he gets into the lane with absolute ease (arguably better than anybody in the league)

Arguable? LeBron James. Dwyane Wade. Don't get too ahead of yourself.

he's a tremendous passer.

But not a better one than Collison.

Defensively Rose is superior if for nothing else his size.

Ever hear the saying "it's not the size that matters, it's how you use it?"

Steals are a horrible representation of defense so I really hope your defensive ratings are not partially attributed to statistics such as steals.

Height/weight are an even worse representation of defense.

And frankly, dismissing the creation of turnovers is foolish when that is the very point of basketball defense. The best way to prevent a shot from going in is to make sure the shot is never taken at all. Players like Rajon Rondo, Ron Artest, or perhaps we should go back to legends like Jordan, Pippen, Stockton... these players didn't gamble for steals, they got them because they were excellent defensive players that read their opponents and forced them to make mistakes. They were not diving after every pass and reaching in like some kid at a rec league. Rose has not shown any ability whatsoever in this area. He is the worst ball thief among all starting PGs. Toss in that he's arguably the worst 3pt shooter among them too (rivaling the likes of Andre Miller and Russell Westbrook), and claims of being a well-rounded player are simply weak.

"Well-rounded" implies ability in all areas and the term simply doesn't apply to a player who is the worst among his peers in two key areas.

Rose spent the summer working on his flaws, and should improve over time, but based on last season, he is rated exactly where he should be.

Despite being a rookie, Collison ws a year older than Rose last season, and his game is more refined and developed (he played 4 years of NCAA after all). Rose is still learning how to play (living mostly off his athletic talents thus far) and obviously has more potential than Collison. But as of the end of last season?

I don't buy into hype machines. All that matters to me is what a player has done NOW.

ReplyDelete
79. Look into Collison's TO rate in his time as a starter...

ReplyDelete
80. He ain't gonna admit he wrong.. Wall went number 1 because he was the top talented rookie... the next 2 teams were pissed because they wanted him as well.. They were even debating if Favors should go 2nd and Turner 3rd but no matter what we knew who was going 1st... You can tell people what they know or what they watch on TV... if you wrong just say you wrong.. I have to fix things in your roster every year so what's new... Like Javale getting a 59 is right, LOL.. something you do are good, Wall going down but being the number 1 pick AND number one summer league player tells meenough to know he's by far the top rated rookie.. Turner is good but only one player worked out ofr the wiards... and he went Number 1

81. Kobe - 91, Melo - 84, Dirk 82

This blog is pretty spot on but arguable at best notwithstanding bias.

We all now Kobe should be higher, barring Kobe haters. He still the same legendary Kobe, and has still showed no signs of slowing down.

Melo is top 3 tier highly skilled offense player, as well as thrasher in the paint. Not a 90 player, but still the tour de force on offense and establishes his team as an automatic playoff contender.

Dirk is always an intriguing case, given his unorthodoxy play but undeniably one of the best shooters in the history of the game, yet still fundamentally sound as a 5.

And to those who think it is a statistics game- if it were, Lebron, Wade, and Bosh would be at a downfall this year rating wise because of their will to win. Its about their impact and efficiency into the lineup as Kobe, Melo, and Dirk are given less to be desired.

82. Most of the ratings look pretty good.. but I feel like some guys are really underrated.
Here are some guys I feel should be rated higher (list includes name, rating, and what i feel rating should be)
A. Iguodala ... 80 ... 83
M. Redd ... 66 ... 73
M. Williams ... 74 ... 78
P. Pierce ... 80 ... 84

R. Lewis ... 72 ... 78
D. Nowitzki ... 82 ... 87
B. Lopez ... 77 ... 83
C. Anthony ... 84 ... 90
D. Granger ... 82 ... 85
C. Frye ... 68 ... 74
K. Durant ... 89 ... 93
J. Green ... 74 ... 78

All in all ratings were solid, but, you said 70 - 74 was a below average starter and you had lots of guys rated there that i thought should be an average to slightly better than average starter.

Most underrated player in this game is Nowitzki. Everyone has been giving him like 82 or 83... I think he's still one of the best in the league (90 or so caliber).

Collison is averaging 5 assists, and does it in only 29 minutes per game. His turnovers are also down, so it's not like he's throwing bad passes now. Pacers are running the ball through Roy Hibbert on offense a lot, as he has a very good assist rate for a center.

90. anonymous... i thought about this and i do not think that shaq and jamison ever played on the same team... so to say that lebron choked with shaq, jamison, mo williams, and then proceeding to name everyone else on the team... as if they matter, cause they sure wouldnt on any other team is not a reason as to why you think kobe is better than lebron james.

91. Good day Rashidi.. I just want to get help from you. You see, I'm building a 2010-2011 rosters using Orlando Magic team with the following lineups: Shaq, Dwight, Grant hill, T-mac, and Hardaway. I want them to put on the same line up but I couldn't figure who will be the Center between Shaq - DW and SF for T-mac and GH. I want to use their real stats, tendencies and synergy as if they were still Orlando stars. What I'm doing now is training them in my assoc till they get their previous form. So..I need help on their plays, tendencies and synergy to have a very powerful chemistry.. Thanks in advance. You can mail me the answer master Rashidi at this mail
