Analysis of NBA 2K11's [11-24-10] Roster

Once again, The Real 2K Insider breaks down 2K's latest roster update and keeps you informed on what 2K would rather keep in the dark.

PLAYER EDITS

My thoughts on each edit will be added sometime tomorrow.

Also, some of these minor edits were from prior rosters that I didn't notice until now.

Marreese Speights
Position: C (from PF)
71 Overall (-1)

Andrew Bogut
83 Overall (+1)
79 Strength (+18)

The progress Bogut built upon last season has been negated by his wrist injury - he is having an abominable season, dropping from last season's 16 ppg to 11.6 ppg, while posting career lows in FG% and FT%.  Yet, for some reason, he keeps going up in rating.

Brandon Jennings

80 Pass (+3)
41 OffReb (+14)
48 DefReb (+19)
84 OffAwr (+2)

NEW PLAYERS
There are no missing players.

MISSING PLAYERS
No players are currently missing (it only took 7 weeks).

ROTATION ERRORS
Bobcats: Kwame Brown should be on active roster instead of Sherron Collins.

Grizzlies: Greivis Vazquez is inactive even though he's the team's backup PG.  Acie Law still has a spot in the rotation.  Grizzlies also announced O.J. Mayo will come off the bench for the foreseeable future.  New starter Xavier Henry isn't even part of the bench rotation (at the very least he should have Tony Allen's minutes)..

Magic: Marcin Gortat isn't part of the rotation.  LOL.

Raptors: Peja Stojakovic is in the rotation, but not Jerryd Bayless, the team's sole backup PG.

Spurs: Signed Ime Udoka to replace Daniel Green (who never made it onto Spurs roster in the game).  Let's hope Udoka doesn't share a similar fate.

INJURED LIST
New Injuries: Udonis Haslem (Heat), Brandan Wright (Warriors)
Recovered: Andre Iguodala (76ers), Dominic McGuire (Bobcats), Mo Williams (Cavaliers), Avery Bradley (Celtics), Juwan Howard (Heat), Chris Andersen (Nuggets), Jeff Foster (Pacers), Nick Collison (Thunder)
Incorrect: Gerald Henderson (Bobcats) has missed the last 6 games but still isn't "injured".  Delonte West (Celtics) broke his wrist on the 23rd and will miss the rest of the season.  Al Thornton (Wizards) sprained his ankle and will miss at least the next 2 games.
Usable Injured (Minor injury, on active online roster): Darington Hobson (Bucks), James Anderson (Spurs), Brandon Roy (Blazers), David Lee (Warriors)

All of these injuries are dissolved when an Association is started, which means this information is primarily relevant to online players.  Red denotes a player who cannot be used due to a major injury.  All other injuries are considered "minor" and can be played through IF the player is on the active roster (even though EVERY player on this list is NOT playing through their injuries in real life).

76ers: None
Bobcats: None
Bucks: Chris Douglas-Roberts (-11)Carlos Delfino (-10), Darington Hobson (-4), Michael Redd (-24)
Bulls: Carlos Boozer (-10)

For the most part, injured players are moved to the IR, regardless of their status, but in some cases, teams suffer so many injuries that there isn't enough room on the IR.  If that player has "Yellow" status, it means they can still be used in online games.  This will surely come into play later in the season, but for now there is only one injured player still on their team's active roster.

  1. When will urs and ffaacc's come out?

    ReplyDelete
  2. I believe his is already released, I just need time to finish everything I wanted to do in this update. I've been busy all week.

    ReplyDelete
  3. Rashidi will your next update include edited "touches" tendencies? Also, do you plan on doing anything with the playbooks in the future?

    ReplyDelete
  4. R they the same...urs and his?... Or is urs better?

    ReplyDelete
  5. I'm almost positive Darko went up in these to a 67 like I noted to someone in your last post.

    Just incase you missed him.

    ReplyDelete
  6. @notahomer

    I can answer that.
they are the same accept for things such as caps

and i think ffaac will be doing his accessories with seanbarkley.

the very important data should be the same. but one might be ahead of another as far as inputing this data.

  9. ETA on the roster file now?

    ReplyDelete
  10. 90 3pt for Brown Blake and Barnes?

    LMFAO

    Lose the Homer glasses :)

    ReplyDelete
  11. While you're at it, Fisher and Odom both need 90s as well for 3pt. ;)

    Right.

    ReplyDelete
  12. You keep asking the question.

    so I'll tell you.

the reason we will not just hire you is because we just dont like you, period.

    ReplyDelete
  13. i think that the touch tendencies are personal,i used rashidi roster(first upload) and i've edited for my taste(es.Superstar max 60 of touch)
I think 70 or more are too high 60 is perfect waht you think of that rashidi?
Rashidi great work for your roster but i've seen that the dribble move for the pf and center are not touche or i'm i wrong?
korver shoot of dribble at 71 is too much...
Did you see that the pick and roll run plays for pf are disappered after the patch??
sorry for my english and if is a repetition..

    ReplyDelete
  14. when will you analyse your own complete roster? with this pace I guess never

  16. REDitor II demo was released.

    http://forums.nba-live.com/viewtopic.php?f=136&t=76092

I think work can being on PC version.

    ReplyDelete
  17. if you would mind to read you would know that the demo has no save function and not all 2k11 files are decoded jet.

btw i love the superstar cpu.
i lead the entire game against the hawks. in the last 3minutes the cpu decides to take a timeout and let josh smith throw an alley oop from the 3point line to bibby over the entire defense. thats what i call sim LOL. because thats not enough j smoove decides to take the longest 3pointer there is and makes nothing but net. not to mention after another timeout joe johnson with a 30%fg in that game makes a shot over 2 defenders and they win the game.best close out ever. terrific experience...

    ReplyDelete
  18. The Hawks have had some of the oddest plays over the past years, so it does not surprise me to see a Smoove-Bibby alley, ofcourse not for a dunk but a lay up. & Smoove has improved his range & jumpshot over the summer so dont be surprised if he nails that 3.

and Joe Johnson rarely passes on the final the shot even with defenders. its a gift & a curse for us Hawks fans

    ReplyDelete
  19. okay, thx for the heads up xD

but its still funny how the cpu scores 4 out of 5 times after a timeout.

    ReplyDelete
  20. I know Barnes, Blake & Brown are all shooting over 45% + from 3pt land,

    but a 90 3pt rating?

its early in the season, and aside from Blake I'm sure the Barnes & Brown will cool off as the season progresses

    ReplyDelete
  21. Korver is like an 88 if I remember right.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Hey,ATL THIS IS WHAT I GOT AFTER ALL THESE RATING CHANGES

    Brown
    3pt-85

    Blake
    3pt-87

    Matt Brnes
    3pt-90

    ReplyDelete
  23. Barnes is not a better 3-point shooter than Blake, and he's certainly not better than Korver. Hahahaha

    ReplyDelete
  24. everybody i didn't post the rating changes that I THOUGHT WERE GOOD for Rashidi

    ReplyDelete
  25. ^

You're an obvious homer. There is a reason we trust rashidi to do the rosters and not people like you.

    ReplyDelete
  26. @NBA2K11 Beast
The fact that you are just random changing the ratings, instead of giving reasons why you rated them that way shows you have no idea what you are doing.

    ReplyDelete
  27. People iam tired of having these bad comments about me,i you don't like what i typed don't type anything back

    ReplyDelete
  28. @ 2K11 Beast

We're probably being a lot lighter on you then we should. Just because a team shoots well to start the season doesn't mean you go ahead and jump all they're shooting to elite status. The fact that you only did Lakers players shows blatant homerism.

James Jones (hope I'm getting this right, on my phone and didn't check) from the Heat went absolutely crazy with the 3ball to start the season. He didn't get raised to a 99.

We're not trying to bash you, but a players ratings go further then just when they're hot.

    ReplyDelete
  29. OK I AM REALLY TIRED OF THESE BAD COMMENTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PLEASE STOP

    ReplyDelete
  30. I think he's just trolling.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Are these rosters ever coming out?

    ReplyDelete
  32. Rashidi can you post the teams rotations and the player accessories

    ReplyDelete
  33. i gave up on waitingNovember 29, 2010 at 1:16 AM

looks like rashidi finally found himself a girlfriend. NO TIME FOR AN UPDATE!!! rembember lay'n out pipe cums b4 these dam rosters...lol

    ReplyDelete
  34. Bogut's not having an "abominable" season. His offense is nowhere near as good as last season but his D is improved. His opponent PER is better than Dwight Howard's and his shot blocking is right where it was last season. Meanwhile the Bucks are the best defensive team in the league. His rating should not be going up but to focus on offensive stats alone is missing 1/2 of the story.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Yeah, but their offense is so abysmal that it is costing them many games.

    ReplyDelete
  36. @Lunatic Wolf

That wasn't his point. Yeah they're losing because of poor offense, but their defense kind of rocks so give 'em the right stats, ya know. You're probably aware of all this :)

    ReplyDelete
  37. Hi, am from Venezuela and I can´t go online to update my rosters. So could anybody help me to create Greivis Vasquez? In my player mode he is on the Grizzlies with Xavier Henry but I can't add them to my roster. Thank you!!!

    ReplyDelete
  38. So Rashidi you rip on the 2k insider and you want to do NBA 2ks rosters and take his job. You do realise that your worse than the 2k insider right? From what I read you have only touched on half the teams. You move at a turtles pace. By the time your rosters are ready the NBA season will be over.

    ReplyDelete
  39. I've edited 319 of 427 NBA players.

Compare that to 10 players a week for 2K. Your math skills are lacking.

    ReplyDelete
  40. A good indicator of how busy I am is to check my twitter account. I haven't posted a new tweet in almost a week. That's the last time I had any free time, as I've been working like a dog over the holiday weekend. I'll have some time tonight to catchup, possibly releasing sometime Thursday.

    ReplyDelete
  41. @ROFL at Anonymous

Like the 2kInsider has edited every team completely? Right buddy....

    ReplyDelete
  42. Hi, I need to create Greivis Vasquez because I can't go online to update my rosters. Could u help me Rashidi? Could you post all his ratings or help me to add him to my roster? Do you know another way to update my rosters without xboxlive? Thanks!!!

    ReplyDelete
  43. i know how to create Greivis Vazquez

    ReplyDelete
  44. Hi, NBA 2K11 BEAST could you help me please?

    ReplyDelete
  45. Careful, he might set Vasquez's 3pt shooting too high. LOL just kidding, Vasquez isn't on the Lakers.

    ReplyDelete
  46. I Can help you Juan Millan if you want me 2

    ReplyDelete
  47. Rashidi what does LPS means

    ReplyDelete
  48. Sure, your help gonna be welcome. How could You do it? You wanna add his ratings to this blog or send it to my e-mail? juanmillancarrillo@hotmail.com

    ReplyDelete
  49. i will send it to your email

    ReplyDelete
  50. i can also send you the player edit like the accessories

    ReplyDelete
  51. I'll appreciate it and will be waiting for your info. Thanks!!!

    ReplyDelete
  52. Rashidi's rosters are unuseable right now as they are incomplete. The 2k insider doesn't have to edit every player those are his rosters and they were complete when the game came out. Im not on the NBA 2k insiders side as I think hes garbage at what he does. But theres really no other choice out there.

2k insiders roster or Rashidi's incomplete roster.

    ReplyDelete
  53. You say thursday release on your rosters Rashidi and Ill wait a few more days to start my offline season. Ill be waiting to thursday for you rosters.

    ReplyDelete
  54. @ everyone who questions the invested time on this project:

There are more than 35 ratings and over 45 tendencies per player, but lets round them at 80 ... assuming it takes you 5 secs to consistently edit each one of those variables (a world record by the way), you will have to invest around 7 mins to edit a single player ... lets assume an absurd (as there are obviously more) average of 13 players per team, which results in 390 players, multiplied by 7 which means "46 hours" of editing ...

Then again, this assumptions overlook entirely the editing of player profiles, player contracts, players spotups, players accesories, players signatures, team rotations, team situationals, coaching profiles, new players, CAPS, FA players, the research to come up with the proper numbers, the time to write all down (to have a database and to make possible to port the rosters into other systems) and the testing time ... which should represent an even more significant amount of time invest ... and yes rashidi does all that but of course, with rational priorities ...

The assumptions are also overlooking the obvious, rashidi as most of the custom roster editors, has commitments, a job (which isnt editing 2k, like the "official" 2k insider should be doing), a family ... essentially, a live ...

The mere implication of how long rashidis edits are taking to be implemented, is an offensive undermine not only to him but to all roster editors and shows that you havent experienced doing such a task, therefor completely disqualifing you of a worthy critic ...

Once the project is finished you will be all noted, in the meantime, enjoy each of rashidis updates as they are a proof of how awsome this already good game can be.

    its ffaacc03, by the way.

    ReplyDelete
  55. I vote Rashidi's incomplete roster.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Does anybody want to know how to create all nba 2k11 missing players

    ReplyDelete
  57. i wish this guy ^ would go somewhere

    ReplyDelete
  58. All the missing players in NBA2K11 are already in Rashidi's roster.

    Thanks though. Please stop now.

    ReplyDelete
  59. RASHIDI GOT SUM COOTER. hehe

no he didnt, i guaruntee u he's working on this roster as he is obssessed with showin up 2k. this time the jokes on him.
while he was busy begging for a job thinking he had time to work on his own roster bc the patch wasnt til christmas. well the patch is out.
and i can almost guaruntee we will still be askin him for a complete roster this offseason.

u want to voice your displeasure.?

stopping viewing his blog to see if the roster comes out.
just check 2kshare and only come here when he releases something.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Finally have off tonight and tomorrow. Working on the update now.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Any body who has Rashidis roster can you give me the missing player ratings

    ReplyDelete
  62. I thought you wanted to help us make the created players, Beast?

And everyone lay off Rashidi because his update is a little late. The later is it, the more players are updated and the more complete the roster is. His first update probably had more changes than 2K's latest does. Not to mention quality over quantity, people.

    ReplyDelete
  63. Anonymous,you are a dumbass.

Maybe when you get a little older and move out of your mothers basement, you will realize what having a job can do to you.

Alright, I'm done with the insults :D

    ReplyDelete
  64. Whats the ETA on your roster Rashidi. The 2k insider just released another update which is a joke and I can't take this crap he releases anymore.

    ReplyDelete
  65. who cares if he gives it a little late give him all the time he wants but for now im playing black ops

    ReplyDelete
  66. Can't wait for your next roster release Rashidi. I hope all teams will be done. Just curious if this is still gonna be released today?

    ReplyDelete
  67. Thanks for ur help NBA 2k beast. Now I can play with my compatriot Greivis Vasquez!!!

    ReplyDelete
  68. you should post the players whole attribute line that would help alot specificlly manny harris of the cavs

    ReplyDelete
  69. The Mavs have a top 10 defense and a top 10 offense and if you take away the seven straight they lost without Nowitzki and Butler, they would be 40-9 right now. Yet you say the Grizzlies, Warriors, Suns, and Rockets are better than them. You do know that the Mavs beat the Lakers, Celtics, Spurs when they were healthy, and Heat twice, right? And also explain how Blake Griffin is an 86 when he doesn't have a jumpshot, can't shoot free throws, and can't play defense.
