BTW, the 2K Insider is on vacation (his first in years). So an #NBA2K11 update is held up until he returns.
Seriously? Nobody on the 2K Sports team knows how to make a player trade? What an embarrassing predicament. I'm actually going to get my roster up before them.

ReplyDeleteAlso, are you putting Hedo at the 4? I would guess that's what the Magic would do so they could bring Bass off the bench for Howard and for playing the 4. And I think he's more of an all-around play style instead of faceup.

ReplyDeleteIt's taking a few weeks for Rashidi to release an updated roster with accurate rosters/rotations/ratings, while I've been waiting two years for one from 2k.

ReplyDelete2K recorded a short conversation with the commentators about Arenas getting traded. I'm assuming this is prompted once Arenas is assigned to a new team, it's not a newly recorded audio file (too soon, not using living rosters, etc).

It should come up early in an Orlando game and it's interesting to see they did this. I wonder which other players got stuff like this recorded in the chance they got traded.
For those who for whatever reason don't hear it:
Essentially they talk about how Wizards are now Wall's team, a change of scenery for Arenas is good for both Washington and Gilbert. He'll have a chance to prosper in a new city, gives him the chance to regain this form, etc etc.
Pretty impressive by 2K.

ReplyDeleteCould have sworn I fixed Barbosa. And wouldn't you know it, I was so focused on the two recent trades that I forgot about the earlier one. Next update shouldn't be too long, I'll probably have another for Christmas. I'm a little ticked Mike Miller played tonight as I even checked rotoworld right before uploading (Heat game had already started by then) and nothing came up.
Also I've noticed updated 2K commentary before. It's a quality feature, but obviously I'm the type that prefers gameplay over fluff.
ReplyDeleteAlso, if they don't specifically mention the Magic, it means it was pre-recorded. I wonder if any of these files can be accessed via the PC version (i.e. the soundbytes are already on disc just waiting for activation), or if 2K is adding the data directly to the roster file?
