TEAM RATINGS
Rating is average of Defense and Offense (2K's Overall proven to be inaccurate)

Rating, Team (Defense-Offense-Overall)

Please note that injuries are factored in, and that team rotations & player minutes matter just as much as the player ratings (if not more so). For instance, taking a mere two minutes away from Kobe Bryant and giving them to Derek Fisher will result in a 1 point reduction to the team's defensive rating (-0.5 overall). Taking Matt Barnes out of the rotation and giving all of his minutes to Luke Walton would result in a 3 point reduction to defense and a 1 point reduction to offense (-2.0 overall).

I dunno about Scott as a coach but I do know he says plenty of dumb things.

Byron Scott recently said Samardo Samuels has more talent than Kevin Love, and that Kevin Love merely has more experience.

Love is a mere 100 days older than Samuels, and four years ago he was better than Samuels is right now.

Samuels will never be the shooter or rebounder that Kevin Love is. Byron Scott is either on crack, trying to make waves, or believes discrediting other players is the right way to hype his team.

If we recall, Scott also said at the beginning of the year this Cleveland team was the best team he'd ever coached... RIGHT... guess that makes this the worst coaching job of all-time then, eh Byron?

What Scott meant to say was this was the best team he'd inherited. Given that he won 26 games with the Nets in 2001 and 18 games with the Hornets in 2005, that isn't really saying much.

I would still take Marbury (23), Van Horn (25), K-Mart (23), Stephen Jackson (22), and Kerry Kittles over Mo Williams, Jamison (34), Varejao, Anthony Parker, and Hickson. Which is also why the Cavs won't even come close to NJ's 26 wins, and why they're not a Kidd trade away from the finals.

To me, Hickson is a stat-padder on an awful team. His numbers are bad unless he's at center, where he is way too small to make a defensive impact. His shooting percentages are extremely weak, and he doesn't impreove his teammates very much. He wouldn't start for many teams.

Kevin Love is stat padding on an awful team, but he's also double doubled in 50 straight and has 90% of the league's 20/20 games. A guy like Love would still start for most teams in the league. By comparison, I doubt Hickson would even play over Taj Gibson in Chicago.

SOMEBODY has to put up numbers on a 12 win team. Hickson's are barely noteworthy enough for me to consider him a realistic "core" piece of Cleveland's future.

David Lee is another great example, he went on to be an all-star in NY averaging 20/12/3 on a bad team. He ALWAYS had a high basketball IQ and that's one of the biggest critiques about Hickson. Guys with low b-ball IQ usually don't become much more than role players.

Rashidi, do these rosters have more realistic team FGA and FTA?
On default almost 10 teams have over 90fga and 30fta.

Thanks for the response on Cleveland....your pretty much spot on I guess. I like Hickson a bit more than you but the rationale side of me knows your probably correct but this what comes with being a fan of Cleveland. Straw grasping. He's made strides, but it's on a bad team like you said and he's dumb as a rock. I don't see that changing but I think the next year will show the caliber of player he will be in this league. When he goes back to PF and has someone capable of getting rebounds playing next to him (Varejao) will he stay aggressive around the rim or resort to a 6'10 jumpshooter who doesn't have a good shot. Thing is, he's very strong and if he decides to just operate around the rim he could be a piece to build upon. Not a star, or even an all-star but a solid starter. We'll see.

I also cannot stand Scott as coach. I think he's an old school guy and pretty good motivator for a few years before he grinds the player's nerves to a nub and his act falls on deaf ears. His in-game management is terrible IMO and the word was he is just lazy, and not a coach dedicated to spending a lot of his free-time doing his homework.

Hey Rashidi,

Speaking of Lee, I am a big Warriors fan, and I am wondering what kind of compensation GS could realistically be offered for Ellis in the off-season (barring labor stuff)? How can we get into the playoffs, or least 2nd in the Pacific (ahead of Phoenix)?

Anonymous said...

Also, how do you assess K. Smart?

Rashidi said...

Height isn't a prerequisite for centers anymore. Hickson would work at center IF he played next to a KG type like Glen Davis does. KG types (high-post/mid-range shooters that can defend) don't exactly grow on trees though. If Jamison and Varejao could merge into one player they would be perfect for Hickson, but as is, they will always be putting forth a flawed frontcourt with Hickson.

Rashidi said...

Ellis has a reasonable contract (only 11 million per year), so it's the same thing other stars get, just not as much needed back as Melo/Deron. Promising players, maybe an expiring contract, and an assortment of draft picks. A lot depends on pick quality and protection, which obviously varies by team.

Rashidi said...

I don't see Monta getting traded though, he's affordable and the Warriors closest thing to a star. He's the only guy putting butts in the seats, and there aren't anymore players available via trade that are better than him. The only way they're trading him is if they're selling him for draft picks and expiring contracts.

Rashidi said...

I also think Keith Smart is doing a good job given what he has to work with. He has to play his stars 40 mpg and deal with the associated injuries, because they literally have no bench.

HI Rashidi

I was wondering what sliders you currently use. Do you use default? simulation? or the one you suggested late last year?

With your one I didn't think there were enough fouls called, esp on shots with contact. Also found it impossible to make contact lay ups with a player like Derrick Rose who is usually able to muscle up against contact and make the contested lay up.

Was just wondering if I'd missed a slider update or anything

Thanks for your top work as usual your rosters are by far the best and only ones worth downloading

any chance of a roster update soon? Waiting to start an association with all the bought out players added to their new teams.

Rashidi said...

I'm halfway done with a comprehensive update, but won't get a chance to work on anything tonight or tomorrow.

engies said...

Rashidi can you please answer my question about the sliders. I'm a big fan but just want to know which sliders are the best to use with the rosters atm

Thanks

Rashidi said...

I have no idea. Other users follow stuff like that, I don't.

engies said...

ok thanks...is there any in particular that you use though?

Lunatic Wolf said...

What happened to the new blog post?

Rashidi said...

Believe me, it is still coming.

sloth said...

engies, I think he uses the default sliders. I remember Rashidi saying he thought the simulation set was crappy. Personally, I use Armor and Sword's with Rashidi's roster and like them a lot.

Thanks sloth

Rashidi,

Glad to see I got under your skin. You are such a whiny bitch. Perhaps if you stopped being such a tool and were willing to work together with some other people instead of being the proverbial kid with the stick up his ass that can't play well with others, your roster would actually be complete enough that people wouldn't be having to use other people's roster.

If you actually took the time to pull that stick out of your ass, you'd see some other people actually do some good work too, one example being the hex edits that are apart of my file, and you could truly have a complete file.

Sincerely,

theGREATfraud

So long as you use MY work to promote YOUR work, I'll say whatever I like.

People want to know where the ratings come from, so you will just have to deal with it.

And I just checked between my legs. Yep, both nuts are still there. Not exactly sure why you are concerned with my ball sack though...

Anonymous said...

Rashidi, that roster you posted today is the best one you have done so far. But why is it titled TheGREATfraud?

Anonymous said...

rashidi your just going to have to face the facts that many people like more things than just rating changes in their roster. So with the game's rosters or "ThaGreatFruad". You should be glad if a person uses your ratings or your roster as a base and adds hex edits and other edits to it. If somebody is using your roster or ratings and still give you credit, your not losing any publicity so stop being a BITCH about a video game

I suppose I'll take my integrity with me to the grave.

Speaking of the grave, I am ever curious what some hacks would do without me.

so....ETA on an update?

tgballin said...

LOL
I had a feeling this site would make me smile today.

Anonymous said...

You have a very interesting sense of integrity. Wouldn't it truly show little to no integrity to copy your ratings and tendencies to a new roster and give you no credit? I'd think you'd prefer to actually be mentioned.

Anonymous said...

Game didn't edit anything by himself, he always need help from someone else. Rashidi knows how 2k ratings work for years.

If Game has made the best rosters, why is it rate so low ?

Rashidi said...

I obviously don't want you to put my name out, which should be all the reason I need.

You're just making excuses because you need as many downloads as you can get, hence why you flat out refuse to NOT drop my name.

Rashidi said...

It ain't about giving me credit - it's all about getting people to DL your bullshit. GTFOH kid.

TGballin said...

Rashidi,

I'm sure you know by now i released a roster to.
i emailed you to ask if u wanted it once i finished to no response so i just was gonna share with my friends..

for sum STUPID reason i thought i would share and i didnt really drop you name but kinda and i apologize.
but i did take the roster down as i felt like crap for sum reason.

Anonymous said...

rashidi or 2kinsider I dont know why you think your all god and mighty about your roster... it has no copyright and they didnt come from GOD. If you didnt like when people use your roster as a base for a roster that is 30x better than what you put out then you shouldnt be mad. You still get credit so what are you bitching about. Game's roster has more things in it that makes it realistic and is just better than yours, FACE IT

Anonymous said...

" but i did take the roster down as i felt like crap for sum reason. "

No Tgballin, you took it down because no one wanted your work, then you got mad and went off bitching to everyone.

" Rashidi, that roster you posted today is the best one you have done so far. But why is it titled TheGREATfraud? "

LOL, that post is proof that YOU'RE fans prefer the edits made by KG, Game and the crew.

That roster that he labeled "theGREATfraud" is over on operationsports. Feel free to have a look at the latest updates.

2K kid said...

So rashidi, quick question. Are u choosing not to share rosters anymore due to people using it as a base. If not when will the next upload come.

Anonymous said...

Rashidi is a butthurt clown who is simply losing his fans by being stubborn...imo of course.

Anonymous said...

Lol this is hilarious. Gettin mad over a video game smh

Rashidi said...

Exactly what I was talking about, can't go one minute without plugging your shit, like you actually put any effort into it yourself.

FYI I have also edited dunks/layups similar to DC (but not copied, as I actually have my own brain). Kudos on your roster with shoes, accessories, and majorly out-dated ratings.

Updated ratings take a bit more time (and are significantly more important) than copying someone's accessories list.

Keep the plugs coming though. And don't forget to DL my roster and re-apply all your changes to it. (Sorry, did I say "yours"? I mean everyone else whose dick you rode. My mistake.)

Rashidi said...

And 2K Kid, I am still releasing rosters but I work quite a bit and have a social life on top of that. I'm about 2/3 done with a comprehensive (as usual) update but I'm really only getting a chance to edit 2-3 times per week. I review the entire league between my updates which obviously takes quite a bit of time. It's pretty obvious I don't have as much free time as some of the children who have no idea about player ratings (yet aren't willing to put the time in to figure it out).

Rashidi said...

Not to mention what also slows me down this year is I have to jot down all my changes to send to FF for the PS3 roster. This is still the only multi-platform roster out there.

TGballin said...

I'm pretty sure i know who most the "anonymous" kids is.

i took it down bc:

1.im not getting paid
2.its not mine
3.i dnt want the net drama (seem to be getting it neway.)
4. nobody was intrested.
5. last but not least i want to enjoy the game and not spend my time tryin to earn internet credit off sum1 elses hard word.

looking forward to the new shoes on u guys next update. YES!

Hi Rashidi

Why Big Men like Ronny Turiaf, Reggie Evans, Kwame Brown, Chris Andersen who are poor offensive player got very inflated rating for SIT ?

Andersen have 99 like Dwight Howard, really ?

Anonymous said...

So I've played against the Thunder twice recently. In the first game (12min Qs), Durant finished the game 19 for 49 shooting. I just finished playing him again, this time on 11min Qs...he finished 18 for 48.

Having played against all the superstars, he seems to be the only one that puts up a ridiculously absurd amount of shots. Mind looking over his Touches, or possibly OKC's overall?

Anonymous said...

And I just checked between my legs. Yep, both nuts are still there. Not exactly sure why you are concerned with my ball sack though... theGREATfraud

he was just wondering bc between you riding his and game's dick so hard not sure u have one at all.

"LOL, that post is proof that YOU'RE fans prefer the edits made by KG, Game and the crew. "

u mean kg's edits? you didnt figure that shit out idiot. ur a copy and paste pussy GAME.

last i checked you guys dl's isnt in the 1000's rashidi gets that many dl's in a week just for an update not a so called "final" roster. lol

if kobe knew u guys put lebrons shoes on him in the game i think the black mamba would come thru the tv in ur g-ma's basement and choke the shit out u kids.
