Outlook: The best point guard in the NBA. Period. CP3's assist numbers the last two seasons have been better than every PG in NBA history not named John Stockton, and he's entering his age 24 season. And unlike Stockton, Paul does a lot more than just pass, as his inside/outside scoring, rebounding, and defense are all well-above average for the position. His only "weakness" is his average post defense; he gets posted by bigger PGs just like 95% of the players at the position.

Outlook: New Orleans' top post scorer also possesses a deadly mid-range shot, making him one of the best offensive PFs in the league. He is not the greatest rebounder though, which is why Okafor is such a valuable pieces of the Hornets' puzzle.

Outlook: Consistently one of the top five rebounders in the league, and certainly a top five post defender as well. Could be looking at an offensive breakout (ala Tyson Chandler) playing next to Chris Paul. Had some injuries early in his career, but hasn't missed a game in his last two seasons, and the Hornets will surely welcome that type of durability.

Outlook: Peja atruggled with injuries and put up the worst season since his rookie year. He's only a season removed from averaging three 3pters per game (shooting them at a 44% clip), so there is still hope. If he isn't able, the Hornets have more than enough depth to make up for it.

Outlook: The best of a bad bunch of SGs in New Orleans. The best outside shooter amongst them, and probably the most athletic, two traits that at least play well with Chris Paul.

Outlook: Solid backup PG over the years. Has relied on his superior athletic ability throughout the years, but he's 34 now. Versatile enough to play both guard positions (i.e. next to Paul) which is something Collison won't be able to do. Has an expiring contract worth 6.6 million which makes him a candidate to be traded midway through the season.

Outlook: Diogu has been tossed around from organization to organization like a rag doll. Along the way he has shown impressive scoring and rebounding ability (along with poor defense). Has the ability to be the next Brandon Bass (though it's a bit odd saying that, since Diogu is 2 years older).
