BIGGEST MOVERS
Monta Ellis has been playing out of his mind since Stephen Jackson was traded. He's nearly playing 48 mpg on a team that has been wracked with injuries, and recently started a game at SF despite being 6'3" and 180 pounds.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Brandon Jennings has been in a shooting slump the past two weeks. Teams have been more physical with him which has helped limit him. His shooting percentages get better the further he is from the basket so he clearly doesn't deal with contact very well right now.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Nate Robinson has fallen out of the Knick rotation due to concerns about his defense. He's been a DNP-CD in the last three games, and the Knicks have won 3 of their last 4 games. A trade might be in the best interests of team and player at this point.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
DeJuan Blair is right next to Reggie Evans as the best rebounder we have ever seen since Dennis Rodman. I think it's very much worth comparing their rebounding ability.
Blair (Rookie @ Age 20: 16.3 ORB%, 27.5 DRB%, 22.1 REB%
Rodman (Rookie @ Age 25): 15.6 ORB%, 15.3 DRB%, 15.5 REB%
Rodman (League Leader @ Age 30): 18.1 ORB%, 34.1 DRB%, 26.2 REB%
We all know Rodman as the greatest rebounder ever, but this was not the case when he entered the league as a 25 year old rookie. He did not lead the league in REB% until age 29 (21.1%), and did not become a mythical rebounder until age 30 where his REB% jumped to an astronomical 26.2% and pretty much stayed there the rest of his career. To say time is on Blair's side would be an understatement. He is much better than 25 year old Rodman, and has TEN YEARS to reach "Godman" status.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Luke Ridnour has gone largely unnoticed since he is in Jennings shadow, but make no mistake, Ridnour has improved substantially this season, and is just as responsible for the Bucks turnaround as Jennings (and Bogut... and Ilyasova...)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Rafer Alston may have exceeded expectations last year, but this year he is back to the same ol' inefficient Rafer, and his poor play was one of the reasons the Nets could not overcome injuries and set the record for most losses to start a season.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Jason Williams on the other hand has filled in admirably for the injured Jameer Nelson, and the Magic haven't skipped a beat.

Ok I have been reading you blog for a couple of months now. I am a Piston fan and by looking at your updates it seems like you have something against them. I know they are not tearing up the league right now but I only see updates for 2 of the starting 5. Also, how in the world could you rate Big Ben as a 69 with the way he has been playing but Sheed is a 74??
Along with what rb said... nothing for my man Jonas Jerebko?
I've been holding off on Detroit mainly due to a lack of knowledge on their rookies. There hasn't been much urgency to edit their top 3 players either, all of whom are hurt.
Don't know why Flynn is rated 5 points higher than Sessions when Ramon has generated half a win, while Flynn has merely broken even. He is also posting superior shooting and rebounding numbers. Flynn over Love is even worse, considering that Love's rookie PER was 5 points higher. Flynn needs a significant knock. I know the Wolves don't matter, but still.
Westbrook is another overrated one. He is good, but is far too inefficient to have his all-star overall rating. Joe Johnson hasn't been all that great this year, and really shouldn't be the one given credit for the Hawks' season. Its mostly Smith and Horford.
Overall, the ratings are very good, but I just wanted to report what I thought were outliers. ;) Keep it up.
Thanks for the assists, it is difficult to keep up with every player in-between updates after all.
Haven't edited Love yet because he hasn't played.
I edited most of the top PGs in the last update but didn't get down to Flynn. I agree that he hasn't been that good, certainly not close to the level of fellow rookies Jennings and Evans.
I agree that Smith and Horford are the reasons for the Hawks improvement (I even dedicated a blog article to this). Johnson is still a good player though and would make the all-star team over Smith (who still has bouts with inconsistency).
Wilson Chandler's primary position is SG, shouldn't it be SF with secondary PF?
Keyon Dooling have a 58 midrange rating...he should be the 70's, maybe 75...and after his surgery he's not the dunker he last year was.
You also can drop Bobby Simmons 3pt rating, he has 15/52 so far.
Chandler is starting at SG right now. Prior to that he was starting at PF. He has yet to start a game at SF this season.
Haven't edited Dooling or Simmons yet but I'll get to it for the next update.
Is Stucky rating based on the fact he's listed as a PG instead of a SG? He's averaging 18.5 ppg, 4.5 apg, 5 rpg and +16.10 EFF for the season.
In his last 10 games, he's averaging 20, 5,4.
Stuckey probably does rate better as a SG than a PG. He's putting up SG production in the absence of Hamilton and Gordon but will surely see a drop in scoring and rise in assists when he returns to PG.
Boozer -2!
He has been on fire lately (apart from LA abberation)
Just won West Conference player of the week. Apaprt from that well done
Where is the download for this? I dont have live
