More detailed center analysis

Player 2k9 - 2k8 (Diff)

Sixers
Dalembert 81 - 77 (+4)
Ratliff 75 - 71 (+4) (Played 28 games combined over last two years, and gets the same boost as Sammy?)

Blazers
Oden 83 - 80 (+3)
Przybilla 74 - 73 (+1) (Remind me again what Ratliff has done lately?)

Bobcats
Mohammed 74 - 73 (Beating a dead horse but, see afreakinbove)
Hollins 67 - N/A

Bucks
Bogut 79 - 76 (+3)
Gadzuric 72 - 70 (+2)
Elson 68 - 70 (-2)

Gray 72 - N/A

Cavaliers
Ilgauskas 82 - 80 (+2)
D. Jones 72 - N/A (WHATT?T???? THIS GUY ISNT EVEN GONNA CRACK ORLANDO!)

O'Bryant 64 - 64 (0)

Pachulia 70 - 72 (-2)

Heat
Mourning 82 - 82 (0)
Blount 71 - 70 (+1) (just didn't have the year Ratliff did I suppose)

Hornets
Chandler 84 - 83 (+1)
Armstrong 68 - 69 (-1)
Marks 66 - 66 (0)

Jazz
Okur 80 - 83 (-3) (YOU SUCK OKUR.)
Koufas 73 - N/A
Fesenko 62 - 62 (0)
Collins 61 - 65 (-4)

Kings
Miller 78 - 77 (+1)
Hawes 75 - 73 (+2)
Moore 70 - 70 (0) (Yeah Mikki! Start the whole year at PF and get zilch recognition Yeah Mikki Yeah Mikki!)

Knicks
Curry 75 - 80 (-5) (LMAO. The biggest drop so far)
James 60 - 60 (0)

Lakers
Bynum 86 - 84/71 (+2/15) (Already improved in 2k8's all-star break update so not a true jump)
Mihm 72 - 72 (Missed most of the season. Surprisingly, did not jump 3-4 overall points)

Magic
Howard 93 - 95/91 (-2/+2) (This one is funny because 2k still isn't sure what they're doing here, and also has one very fatal flaw that I'll detail later)
Foyle - 71 - 69 (+2) (Well this was unexpected.)
Battie 66 - 66 (Yet another year where they didn't touch his ratings. He's had 50 close and 52 med since 2k3. That's gotta be a world record for laziness. I don't give a damn if he missed the whole year, that worked wonders for other players)

Mavericks
Dampier 76 - 71 (+5) (Bout time.)
Diop 73 - 71 (+2)

Nets
Lopez 74 - N/A (Somehow rated worse than his less talented brother)
Boone 71 - 68 (+3) (Another PF switch)

Nuggets
Hunter 72 - 72 (0)

Pacers
Nesterovic 75 - 72 (+3)
Hibbert 72 - N/A
Foster 70 - 70 (Pacer fans everywhere spit on you 2k)

Rockets
Ming 94 - 92 (+2) (This one made me laugh a little)

Spurs
K. Thomas 80 - 76 (+4) (Four years too late.)
Oberto 74 - 73 (+1) (A PF switch)

Suns
O'Neal 84 - 87 (-3)
Lopez 75 - N/A (Yeah, a top 25 center. I can actually believe that over Theo Ratliff though)

Thunder
Petro 69 - 65 (+4) (Finally, the starter isn't the 4th worst on the team)
Sene 66 - 66 (0)
Swift 66 - 66 (0) (Here's a fun exercise - count all the Cs rated in the 60s and then count how many were actually edited)

T'Wolves
Booth 64 - 64 (0) (Like I was saying. I think 2k has contractual obligations to not touch these guys ever)
Collins 62 - 68 (-6) (Haha someone who dropped more than Curry finally. Another ex-PF btw)

Warriors
Biedrins 81 - 80 (+1)

Wizards
Haywood 75 - 72 (+3)
Thomas 75 - 75 (0)
McGee 66 - N/A

Unfortunately because Magloire was a FA we don't know his ratings. He was a 78! in 2k8. Any guesses on his 2k9 rating?

Dwight Howard changes from 2k8

Dwight Howard
Overall 93 – 95 (-2)
Close 92 – 99 (-7)
Med 63 – 71 (-8)
3pt 50 - 50 (0)
FT 58 – 59 (-1)
Off Dribble 68 – 56 (+12)
In Traffic 93 – 84 (+9)
Layup 86 - 69 (+17)
Dunk 99 - 89 (+10)
Handle 70 - 67 (+3)
Pass 56 - 57 (-1)
Hands 88 – 88 (0)
PostOff 96 – 96 (0)
PostDef 93 – 93 (0)
Ball Defense 67 – 67 (0)
Block 86 – 91 (-5)
Steal 63 – 63 (0)
Hustle 84 – 84 (0)
RebOff 94 – 95 (-1)
RebDef 99 – 95 (+4)
Speed 69 – 67 (+2)
Quickness 68 – 66 (+2)
Strength 93 – 93 (0)
Vertical 92 – 86 (+6)
DefAwr 86 – 86 (0)
OffAwr 82 – 79 (+3)

It is quite clear and convincing that 2k has absolutely no clue what their own layup rating does if they gave Howard a higher rating than 90% of all guards. Tony Parker is an 89 layup this year, for those keeping track of such absurdity at home.

But it gets better

Top 10 Center Layup
86 Howard
72 Noah
71 E. Curry
70 Horford
69 Chandler
69 Biedrins
69 K. Brown
68 Bogut
68 Mourning
68 R. Hollins
68 G. Davis

Yeah, it's that bad.
