Extremely concerning CPU sim results - Jordan Edition

Michael Jordan set a new career high with 74 points on 29-33 FG and 15-19 FT. That's really all you need to know.

I tinkered with "Touches" tendency for the Knicks, trying to generate better results. It didn't work. Amare scored 50 points on 22-26 FG and 6-6 FT while Randolph scored 23 points on 9-11 FG and 5-7 FT. Gallinari meanwhile scored 4 points on 2-2 FG in 33 minutes.

I don't even feel comfortable releasing a roster with the game in this type of condition, but I'm going to have to, because it looks like fixing this game could take a month.

Bulls shot 58-88 (65%) and Knicks shot 54-85 (63%).

(9.5 IGN? Really?)

It's so unfortunate that this game has so many tendency/gameplay issues because I want to get to making some classic teams!

Playing through the opening game and some of the Jordan Challenges I noticed something interesting: all the Legends teams seem to run the same plays as their current incarnations. For example, the Bad Boys Pistons' offense is centered around running Joe Dumars off of numerous screens a la Rip Hamilton. Or the Magic Johnson led Lakers run most of their offense through Byron Scott and Sam Perkins much like Kobe and Pau. Now, I must admit I haven't seen many full games of late 80s/early 90s Lakers and Pistons, but I'm pretty sure they shouldn't be playing this way. Similar to how you described Magic being involved very little in the opening game, Isiah Thomas barely shot the ball in my game against the Pistons. Hopefully the playcalling of the Legends teams can be changed for the Jordan Challenges.

I actually just checked this out.

The classic teams actually do have a seperate playbook. The problem is the touches tendency is screwed up.

91 Lakers "Starting PG" for instance even has his own designated play called "Magic" (which is an Iso clearout), as well as a 21 mismatch which is a PG postup.

Off-hand I'm pretty sure Dumars was a screen guy too. The problem is the PGs need to be initiating their offense much more than they are.

Interesting, guess it was just coincidence then. Hopefully you can change something to make the PGs more aggressive then. Good work man.

If you raise the run play slider to 100 so there is less freelancing (Touch is a freelance tendency)

The touches tendency wouldnt matter much...Try it!
