Fixed my internet connection

That certainly delayed things tonight. In the meantime I played a quick game which I'll break down. I was the Lakers against the Celtics on all-star difficulty (12 min qtrs). Figured I should bang out some achievements (win Lakers/Celtics on all-star, and score 50 with Kobe. I also ended up with the All-Heart achievement which I actually hadn't gotten since 2K7 I believe.

Lakers (Me)
144 pts
64-94 FG (68%)
5-15 3PT (33%)
11-15 FT (73%)
48 assists (11 turnovers)
10 fouls
31 rebounds (4 offensive)
8 steals
4 blocks (just missed the 5 steals and blocks achievement yet again)
100 points in paint
22 bench points
8 second chance points
12 fast break points

Celtics (CPU)
138 pts
63-104 FG (60%)
3-14 3PT (21%)
9-12 FT (75%)
48 assists (10 turnovers)
11 fouls
41 rebounds (12 offensive)
11 steals
0 blocks
76 points in paint
20 bench points
14 second chance points

Lakers Boxscore
Kobe: 56 pts (24-33 FG, 1-1 3pt, 7-8 FT), 2 reb, 10 ast, 4 TO (43 mins)

Points didn't always come easy, most of them were probably on the break. I took advantage of Eddie House when they subbed him in at SG.

Gasol: 37 pts (18-20 FG, 1-1 FT), 8 reb, 5 ast, 0 TO (41 mins)

Gasol was just too easy to score with. He is very easy to standing dunk with and blew by Perkins and Rasheed at will. When the CPU started to double Kobe it made it even easier, plus Odom's post passing helped quite a few times.

Gasol's scoring breakdown
Q1 (11:11) Dunk
Q2 (9:56) Dunk
Q2 (9:14) Layup
Q2 (6:43) Layup
Q2 (2:52) Dunk (And 1)
Q2 (2:52) Made FT
Q2 (1:26) Layup
Q3 (11:49) Dunk
Q3 (10:01) Jumpshot (actually, this was a two foot hookshot)
Q3 (8:55) Dunk
Q3 (7:39) Dunk
Q3 (7:16) Layup
Q3 (5:21) Dunk
Q3 (4:59) Layup
Q3 (4:08) Layup
Q3 (3:09) Dunk
Q4 (1:57) Layup
Q4 (1:37) Jumpshot (actually, this was a putback dunk)
Q4 (47.6) Layup

Gasol by qtr
Q1: 2 pts
Q2: 11 pts
Q3: 18 pts
Q4: 6 pts

I was able to get him on fire by the end of the 2nd qtr and then just went to town with him in the 3rd. I don't know what's more maddening, that I shot 90% with Gasol rather efortlessly, or that they didn't bother to put a body on him (only 1 FTA and 0 TOs despite all the interior play against the toughest defense in the league)

Getting back to the box score...

Bynum: 17 pts (8-9 FG, 1-4 FT), 5 reb, 1 ast, 1 blk (22 mins)

Yet another player who was unstoppable inside when he got the ball. 17 pts in only 22 mins of action. Would have had more if I'd figured out his FT animation. Single-handedly got Sheed in foul trouble for the whole first half.

Fisher: 10 pts (4-8 FG, 2-5 3pt) 1 reb, 7 ast, 1 stl (30 mins)
Walton: 8 pts (4-5 FG), 1 reb, 3 ast, 3 stl, 1 blk (12 mins)

For some reason I had a much easier time scoring with Walton than I did with Artest.

Odom: 6 pts (2-2 FG, 2-2 FT), 12 reb, 9 ast, 1 stl, 1 blk (34 mins)

Odom led me in +/- with 20 which isn't tough to see why given the efficient all-around box score. Could have easily triple doubled if I wanted.

Vujacic: 6 pts (2-5 FG, 2-3 3PT), 1 stl, 1 blk (9 mins)
Farmar: 2 pts (1-5 FG, 0-3 3PT), 7 ast, 1 stl, 3 TO (19 mins)
Artest: 2 pts (1-7 FG, 0-3 3PT), 2 reb, 6 ast, 1 stl, 2 TO (34 mins)
Morrison, Powell, Brown: DNP

Celtics Box
Allen: 36 pts (16-23 FG, 3-7 3PT, 1-1 FT), 5 reb, 9 ast, 2 stl (40 mins)
Pierce: 29 pts, (13-22 FG, 0-2 3PT, 3-4 FT), 2 reb, 7 ast (38 mins)

Pierce plays too much like LeBron James or Carmelo Anthony. He posts up far more than he shoots threes, and if you foul him it's automatically an And-1.

Garnett: 22 pts (10-15 FG, 2-2 FT), 13 reb, 6 ast, 1 stl (34 mins)

Garnett had three highlight reel dunks, which is probably two too many for a game. He did the rest of his damage from mid-range.

Rondo: 15 pts (7-16 FG, 0-1 3PT, 1-3 FT), 1 reb, 16 ast, 1 stl, 4 TO (42 mins)

Held the ball way too much, as is the case with all CPU controlled PGs. Rondo fell apart in the 4th as he turned the ball over a couple times and got blocked by the likes of Walton and Vujacic to start fastbreaks that sparked my come from behind victory.

House: 13 pt (6-13 FG, 0-3 3PT, 1-1 FT), 1 reb, 3 ast (19 mins)
Perkins: 13 pts (6-8 FG, 1-1 FT), 8 reb, 4 ast, 3 stl (36 mins)
Sheed: 10 pts (5-6 FG), 8 reb, 1 ast, 2 TO (22 mins)
Daniels: 0 pts (0-1 FG), 3 reb, 2 ast, 4 stl (14 mins)
Scalabrine, Williams, Allen, Davis: DNP

There is hardly any defense in this game which is a problem. One can only hope this gets fixed sooner rather than later.
